Intellishop is another secret shopping company that uses Sassie   (My Sassie blog can be found in "Secret Shopping Companies").  Though I've been contracted with Intellishop since Jan. of 03', I've never actually worked for them.  But, they have been around for some time and have maintained some big contracts, and that says something good about them.

I looked this morning, and they had about 1,200 shops listed for the US. Some are self-assigning and others are requested assignments. 

One type of shop listed involves an oil change for your car.  This shop  is a "reimbursement only" shop.  Here's a word about "reimbursement only" shops:

"Reimbursement only" shops are shops that don't have an actual shopper pay, but reimburse for service or goods.  "Reimbursement only" shops are great for two things...First, if you are in the need of a certain type of service/good, and second, when you want some entertainment  After all, why pay for these things when you can get it free!!!!

Though most shops I do are for pay, I use "reimbursement only" shops for lots of stuff, including my oil changes.  Other "reimbursement only" shops I have benefited from include free hotel stays, free dinners at fine dining restaurants, free movies....and much more. 

In reality, most often, if the shopper were to look at income averaging, "reimbursement only" shops actually pay more.  For example: I went to Florida a few years back and secret shopped a hotel in Alabama.  The shop included my hotel stay, room service for dinner, and breakfast in their restaurant....the total reimbursement was about  $200.00.  Visiting the hotel as a secret shopper rather than a regular customer took me about two extra hours of time....that's $100.00 an hour....not bad!!! The trick with "reimbursement only" shops is to use them when you actually need or want the service or good. 

Anyway, Intellishop has several other assignments as well, but I thought I mention the oil change because it's a good assignement if you're in the need for the service.
